Data Collection & Processing
Amelia-Rose Barker is the owner of Amelia Rose Photography, and the sole controller and proprietor of any data that passes through this website, my BigCartel store, Facebook or email. This data is kept completely private between myself and a few other carefully selected data processors.
In order to provide my services, certain data is required to be retained in order to provide the best service for yourself.
The biggest amount of data that I retain are your photographs. I never permanently delete any of my client’s photographs; unless requested. Should you wish for me to permanently delete your photographs after they have been delivered, I will do so after receiving a written request. There is a 3 month cooling off period for this request. After 3 months of your initial request you will be contacted to confirm you do wish for files to be permanently deleted. After this has occurred, I will not have any way of recovering your files.
All my clients photos regardless of the session type, event, wedding or date are kept on secure hard drives in my home, as well as backed up online. As above, photographs are are stored for as long as necessary, in the event of you losing your files for whatever reason; I will have a backup.
I also collect personal information about yourself in order to provide my services. The details I may ask for include:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Home addresses
- Social media details
I may also share photos online (places detailed below) in order to retain interest in my business. Should any member of your event, wedding or photoshoot not wish for their photos to be included in this, please let me know at the earliest convenience – at the studio, you are required to confirm this on your online questionnaire (link here) and on a hard copy in the studio. However you have the right to change your mind at any time.
- My website
- Blogs and other websites
- Professional photography competitions
- With your wedding/event suppliers (e.g. florists, make up artists)
I never capture credit or debit card details. Card details are handled via my card payment service in the studio (Barclays) and PayPal.
What I do with your data
Essentially, not very much. If you’ve opted in to my mailing list, you’ll get the occasional email, which you can opt out for at any time.
Your personal data will only be used by myself, and shared only if necessary with any of my external data processors (see below) and you will be informed of this if and when necessary.
Protecting your data
All your personal information including your photographs are stored on my personal database. I, Amelia Rose, am the only person who has access to this. As above, your data is only ever used to contact you in regards to your photos, to update you with marketing information if you have opted in to it, and shared with third parties who provide a service to my business (external data processors – please see below)
Your personal data is never shared, sold or otherwise distributed to any third parties not associated with myself or Amelia Rose Photography without your permission.
